Mamuli Studs

Mamuli Studs – Handcrafted in sterling silver, these earrings are inspired by the Mamuli, a sacred traditional ornament from Sumba Island, Indonesia - where I come from. The Mamuli's distinct shape, resembling the female form, represents feminine power, fertility, prosperity, and ancestral connection. Historically worn by both women and men as a symbol of beauty, social status, and protection, it carries deep spiritual meaning in Sumbanese culture.

In Sumba mythology, the Mamuli is believed to possess supernatural energy and was once used as a channel to communicate with ancestors. I created these silver studs as a modern tribute to that rich heritage - small enough for daily wear, but still full of power and meaning.

Each pair is lovingly handmade by me in Paris.
